The rules of this category may or may not be altered as the evolving Lp-gene
study results
become known and understood. Until such time, the stance regarding not
recognizing
stallions of less than 4-generations of Appaloosa/Appaloosa breeding remains
that a solid-patterned "F-4" stallion passes on a good pedigree and that
pedigree in itself
is a worthy attribute toward the goal of the eight-generation purebred
blood-breed Appaloosa.
